Walking around with a camera on the streets of Mumbai really attracts kids. They all want you to take pictures of them and fight to get in front of the lens.

I personally love this picture because it represents what I saw in almost every child there - happiness and emotion. Their excitement at having a foreigner take their picture was almost overwhelming.

I'd been taking pictures of shops lining the street when the kids walked past and noticed me. They all started asking me to take pictures of them, scrambling in front of one another. I told them I'd take a group picture instead.

No-one asked to see the picture afterwards. They didn't ask me why I was walking around a back street of Mumbai taking pictures. What mattered to them is that they got their picture taken.

Mumbai really is a city of dreams - everyone seems to believe that one day they'll make it big, be it in a Bollywood movie, as a rich banker, or in this case, playing cricket for India.
