Carnaval Del Pueblo, London
August 2008

This is the first time I've used the 50mm lens in a long time. I'd forgotten how much I used to love it for its DOF, and hate it for being so restrictive! Unless I'm using it for portraits that is.

Carnaval (also known as Carnival or Mardi Gras in some countries) is for everyone: adults and children, and happens almost everywhere in the world. In Carnaval by ~tanya-n we can see how colorful this event can be - and fun - though the eyes of a kid! (Suggested by =JacquiJax and Featured by `Helewidis)

If you're photographing in color you show the color of their clothes - if you use black and white, you will show the color of their soul. - Author Unknown :macos:

Great looking little spontaneous portrait. And good job spotting this girl, who is the perfect subject for this kind of portrait!

it'd be better if it were a real 50 and not a 75 ;)(damn crop factor) good for portraits though.
